The event will be held at the
Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
This is am outstanding venue used for major sports and concert
events. The Ohio Motorpool has entered into an agreement with the Nutter
Center which gives the OMP the privilege of operating the MVPA
convention throughout the facility.
UPDATE: The Ohio Motorpool
held its June meeting in the Dayton area, and toured the Nutter Center.
It is a wonderful venue for such an event. There's a lot of space both
indoors and outdoors for all the participants. Make sure you mark your
calendar now and watch this web page for additional registration
information!
Indoor parking of vehicles
for judging and display will provide an excellent opportunity to view
these vehicles regardless of the weather. Outdoor paved parking will
be secured by fencing and professional security agents.
The Nutter Center is close to
many exciting places to visit in Dayton while you are here.
The United States Air
Force Museum at Wright Patterson Air Force Base is within sight of the
Nutter Center. Recent additions to the museum's hanger facility allow
almost all of the displays to be placed indoors. The Ohio Motorpool has
made arrangements for the museum to remain open one evening for the
exclusive use of the MVPA attendees! You should not miss this
opportunity to see many one of a kind aircraft, and the actual planes that made
history from the beginning of aviation to the present.
Dayton is known as the "Birth
of Aviation". The Wright Brothers began work here, and their shop
is open as a museum.
