SCENES FROM GEORGE C. SCOTT'S "PATTON"
How many of you noticed this scene of the German tank advance in North Africa in which a stunt man has what appears to be an unexpected brush with death from one of the tanks?
This series of clips that I made from the film shows the "German infantryman" apparently oblivious to the tank behind him until it tosses him forward and almost under the right track. The final shot shows him behind the tank, prone with his helmet off, probably forcibly removed by the underside of the tank, and the track path right alongside his right arm. This was one lucky fellow!
It looks as if the
infantryman has no idea how close the tank is
Another camera shot of
the same guy, with a big surprise on the way.
HEY,what's that pushing
me?
Oh, S..T - that damn tank
is RIGHT THERE....
I THINK I AM IN DEEP
DOO-DOO - BETTER GET THAT RIGHT ARM IN...
Maybe they will give me a bonus for this
scene! I'll never work for this stunt crew again...
